UCAT Deciles 2015-2026

You can use the table above to help calculate your UCAT decile. Simply add up your score from each of the four UCAT sections, then use last years data (or an average of them all) to help calculate which UCAT decile you would have scored in the past year.

Use your score to compare it to ucat deciles in 2026, ucat deciles in 2024, 2023,  2022 and ucat deciles in 2021. As you can see, due to it being a standardised exam, the deciles generally stay consistent every year, and we would expect this to remain the same for the 2024 entry.

There is no need to work out your UCAT score within each subsection of the UCAT, instead, deciles are generally calculated per your total UCAT score.

Many universities employ a UCAT cut off score that requires you to have a UCAT score in the third decile or above. This implies that your score must be in the top 30% of candidates in a year.

This is why it is paramount that once you have your final UCAT score and are looking to apply to universities, in particular, applying to medical school, you carefully research which universities have which preference for UCAT scores.
