“Harry got my UCAT up to 2,590, working through the sections I kept dropping marks on week by week. Gemma then ran my interview practice so the MMI stations didn't catch me out, and Dr Akash mentored me the whole way through. I'm off to King's for Medicine.”

Tutor application FAQs
Common questions about becoming a UCAT, personal statement or interview tutor with us.
How do I become a UCAT tutor?
To become a UCAT tutor with us, fill in the application form on this page. We look for a strong academic record, a high UCAT score and a genuine passion for helping applicants. We are selective: if your application is shortlisted, you will be interviewed by one of our mentors before joining the team.
Can current medical, dental or veterinary students apply?
Yes. Many of our tutors are current medical, dental and veterinary students, alongside qualified doctors, dentists and vets. Tutoring is a flexible, paid role that fits around your studies, so it is a popular choice for students who recently sat the UCAT and want to help the next cohort succeed.
What tutoring jobs and subjects are available?
We hire tutors for the UCAT, personal statements, medicine and dentistry interviews (including MMI), veterinary SAQ, GAMSAT, and A-level and GCSE sciences and maths. You choose the areas you tutor based on your own strengths and experience.
How much do UCAT tutors get paid?
We pay competitively for every tutoring role. The exact rate depends on your experience and the type of tutoring you do, and we discuss pay openly with you after the interview stage, if you are successful. Many roles are one-to-one and flexible, so you can take on as much or as little as your schedule allows.
Is the tutoring remote or in person?
Almost all of our tutoring is online, so you can work remotely from anywhere in the UK. Sessions are arranged directly around your availability and your students' needs.
Do I need previous tutoring experience?
Previous tutoring or mentoring experience is helpful but not essential. What matters most is a strong academic record, a high UCAT score and real enthusiasm for supporting applicants. We support you once you join, both in your tutoring and through your own studies.
How are applications reviewed?
We review applications on a rolling basis and we are selective about who we take on. Because of the high volume of interest we receive, we cannot reply to every applicant individually, but we will email you to arrange an interview if you are shortlisted.
