Flexible 10 to 30 hours of 1-1 tutoring, fully online, plus single mock interviews from £125.
Every session is delivered 1-1 and online by a handpicked interview expert matched to your chosen universities. Not sure which package? A free strategy call will map your interview dates and recommend the right number of hours, no obligation.
You cannot learn to perform under pressure by watching a webinar. Group courses hand you content, but they cannot put you in the chair, ask the hard follow-up and show you exactly where your answer wobbled.
The one thing that moves your score is doing it out loud, again and again, with someone marking you. That is all we do, and we have done it for 14+ years.
We prepare you for every format universities use for dental hygiene and therapy: the multiple mini interview (MMI), traditional panels and recorded video interviews, whether yours runs online or in person, and some add a manual dexterity task. Every station is covered in focused one-to-one mocks targeted at your chosen universities, whether you are interviewing at Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Plymouth (Peninsula), Sheffield, UCLan or Portsmouth. All our tutoring is online.
Why this role rather than dentistry, and a clear grasp of the difference between a hygienist, a therapist and a dentist. We build an answer rooted in your work experience.
Giving prevention advice or motivating a reluctant patient with an actor. Marked on empathy, clear communication and behaviour change, not a perfect script.
Where a course includes a dexterity or instruction-following task, we practise working calmly and precisely while talking an examiner through it.
Consent, confidentiality and safeguarding applied through the GDC Standards for the Dental Team under realistic pressure.
The NHS dental access crisis, prevention, skill mix and direct access, argued even-handedly.
Deeper questioning on your personal statement, teamwork and your understanding of the role day to day.
A sample of what we practise in mocks, with how strong candidates approach each. There is very little good preparation online aimed specifically at dental hygiene and therapy applicants, so use this as your starting point.
Why dental hygiene and therapy, rather than dentistry?
Show a genuine draw to prevention, patient education and long-term relationships, with evidence from work experience, not a sense that it is a stepping stone to dentistry.
What is the difference between a hygienist, a therapist and a dentist?
Explain the scope of practice clearly: prevention and periodontal care, the therapist's added restorative and paediatric work, and where the dentist's role begins.
What did you observe on your work experience in a dental practice?
Reflect on communication, patient anxiety and teamwork you saw, especially the hygienist or therapist's role, rather than listing procedures.
A patient refuses the treatment you recommend. What do you do?
Respect autonomy, check understanding and record the discussion; explore why, offer alternatives and know consent must be informed and freely given.
During an appointment a patient discloses something that worries you. What do you do?
Show you take safeguarding seriously, know your duty to act and escalate appropriately, and understand confidentiality and its limits.
You have a concern about a colleague. How do you raise it?
Put patient safety first, raise it professionally and supportively, and show you understand the GDC's duty to speak up.
Give oral hygiene advice to a teenager who is not interested.
Use motivational interviewing: listen, find their motivation, keep advice simple and specific, and agree a small realistic change rather than lecturing.
Reassure an anxious patient before a scale and polish.
Acknowledge the fear, explain what will happen in plain language, agree a stop signal and check in throughout; you are marked on empathy and clarity.
Follow these instructions to complete a dexterity task.
Work slowly and precisely, follow the instructions exactly and narrate calmly; examiners watch your process and care, not your speed.
Strong candidates show they understand the profession they are joining and how it fits in the dental team. We keep your preparation current with the clinical and policy topics UK interviewers expect you to speak about with confidence.
Interview formats vary by university, so we tailor every mock to the exact courses you are applying to. UK universities we prepare dental hygiene and therapy applicants for include:
Almost every course interviews before making an offer, most using the multiple mini interview (MMI) format. Course titles differ (dental hygiene, dental therapy, oral health science, or a combined programme), so check whether yours is a joint hygiene and therapy course. Tell us your choices and we will match your mocks to how each one interviews.
Choose a package above or book a free strategy call. As soon as you buy, we ask for a few details about your interviews, match you to the right expert, and get your tutoring started within two days. Everything runs 1-1 and online, around your school hours, with a written scorecard after every mock.

Your 1-1 sessions are online and delivered by a handpicked interview expert, and always a trained one, typically a current dental student who recently excelled at their own MMI interviews, matched to you and tailoring your preparation to the universities you are applying to. Every expert is DBS-checked and safeguarding-trained, and written feedback is shared after every lesson, so parents can follow the progress too. The programme is designed and quality-assured by our senior team. We never hand you answers to learn word for word: interviewers see through a script in seconds, so we build your thinking and structure until you can handle any question in your own voice.

Almost always. Most UK dental hygiene and therapy courses will not make an offer without an interview, and the majority now use the multiple mini interview (MMI) format. We prepare you for exactly those stations.
Common themes are why you have chosen dental hygiene and therapy rather than dentistry, the scope of practice and how it differs from a dentist, what you learned from work experience, prevention and communication role-play, ethics and consent under the GDC standards, and sometimes a manual dexterity task. Our mocks drill each of these in your universities' format.
Most do. The multiple mini interview (MMI) moves you around several short stations, each testing a different skill such as communication, ethics or motivation. Some universities still use a panel or a recorded video interview. We prepare you for whichever format your universities use.
Dental hygiene and therapy is a respected career in its own right, not a stepping stone. There is no automatic route into dentistry, but some hygienists and therapists do later apply to a BDS dentistry degree, and the clinical experience can strengthen that application. In your interview, show you want the hygiene and therapy role for itself.
The NHS dental access crisis, the shift towards prevention, direct access (patients seeing a hygienist or therapist without a dentist referral), skill mix and the expanding role of therapists, and water fluoridation. We keep your preparation current with the topics interviewers raise.
Yes, and interviewers will ask what you took from it. Reflect on the communication, prevention and teamwork you observed, especially the hygienist or therapist's role, rather than listing procedures. If you are also strengthening your written application, our dental hygiene and therapy personal statement service can help.
Yes, where your universities include a dexterity or instruction-following station. We practise working precisely and calmly while narrating your reasoning to an examiner.
No. We never teach scripted, word-for-word answers. Interviewers spot a scripted answer instantly, so we build your thinking and structure until you can answer any question in your own voice.
As soon as you have interview invitations, ideally two to four weeks before your first date. We also take applicants at short notice, and a single mock is a fast way to pressure-test yourself.
Within two days. As soon as you have paid, we ask for a few details about your interviews and target universities, match you to the right expert, and book your first session, usually within two days.
Yes. Your 1-1 mocks can be run MMI, panel or video style, whichever your universities use. It is always one-to-one with your tutor, in the format you will actually face.
No problem, and no charge. If the fit is not right after your first session, we will re-match you to a different interview expert, no questions asked.
Yes. Many students start with a smaller package and top up if they land more interviews. Buy another block and we keep you with the same interview expert wherever possible.
Every 1-1 session is online, so you can prepare from anywhere in the UK or abroad and in your own time zone. Mock interviews run on video, exactly as most universities now interview.
No, but you can be over-scripted, and that is what interviewers penalise. You still need the content cold and a clear structure, but you cannot recite it. We make sure you know the material and can think on your feet with it under pressure, so you come across as prepared and genuine, not robotic.

Ultimate Package students from our 2025/26 cycle, with their UCAT scores and offers, who trained with us for the UCAT, personal statements and interviews.
“Harry got my UCAT up to 2,590, working through the sections I kept dropping marks on week by week. Gemma then ran my interview practice so the MMI stations didn't catch me out, and Dr Akash mentored me the whole way through. I'm off to King's for Medicine.”
“The interview prep was the part that actually moved the needle. Proper mock MMIs, not just lists of questions, and feedback that was honest about what I was getting wrong. I ended up with four offers and firmed UCL.”
“The Ultimate Package kept me organised from UCAT through to interviews. They knew what dental schools actually ask and tightened up my personal statement. Four offers in the end, and I'm going to Birmingham.”
“Vet applications come down to the written SAQs as much as the interview. Dr Rebecca went through my SAQs line by line, sharpened my answers and prepped me for the panels. I came away with four offers and chose the RVC.”
