Akash has a wealth of knowledge on the application process for Medicine and Dentistry degrees. He has delivered UCAT training to our applicants for a number of years and this year has also delivered interview training. He is a skilled educator who effortlessly gains the trust and respect of students, and gives them the knowledge and confidence required to succeed. The training days are packed with practical advice and strategies, leaving students with a clear idea of what to expect and how to structure their preparation. The impact Akash has made on improving the quality of our Medicine and Dentistry applications is clear, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to any school looking for specialist training in this area.

Why schools choose us

Specialist UCAT training, taught by clinicians

Places in Medicine and Dentistry get more competitive every year, and a strong UCAT is more crucial than ever. We help your applicants walk in with a plan, not just more content.

Taught only by doctors and dentists

Every course is delivered by a qualified doctor or dentist with 14+ years teaching the UCAT, not a recent graduate or a pre-recorded video. Do not settle for any less.

In person at your school, or online

We travel to schools and sixth forms across the UK, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow. If in person does not suit, we run the identical day live online.

Tailored to your cohort

The day flexes around your school timetable and the needs of your applicants, from first-timers to students resitting. One school is never taught the same as another.

Post-UCAT liaison for your pupils

Support does not stop when we leave. Pupils get a clear revision plan and a post-course liaison service for any further questions on the UCAT and their applications.

Moving your students from The Medic Portal or Medify?

Many of the schools and families who come to us have already tried the big online providers. The difference they notice is simple: our course is live, doctor-led and tailored to your cohort, not a pre-recorded course or a question bank.

“Last year I bought UCAT tutoring from other companies for my daughter, Medic Mind and The Medic Portal. She did not score well. This year I came to TheUKCATPeople looking for something more bespoke. They were organised, built her confidence and showed her new techniques. She scored in the top decile in the UCAT. I am extremely happy, thank you to this team.”

Common questions

School UCAT course FAQs

Who teaches the UCAT course at our school?

Every course is delivered by a qualified doctor or dentist with over 14 years of experience teaching the UCAT, led by our founders Dr Akash and Dr Sonal and supported by doctors such as Dr Jonathan, a UCC consultant, A&E registrar and Oxford graduate. We never use recent graduates or pre-recorded videos.

This direct, clinician-led teaching is why leading schools return to us year after year, and why we hold hundreds of verified 5-star reviews.

Do you come to our school in person, or is it online?

Both. We travel to schools and sixth forms across the UK for in-person courses, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow. The day is run on site, in your own classrooms or hall.

If in-person delivery does not suit, we run the identical one-day course live online, which also works well for international schools. You choose whichever format is best for your cohort.

How long is the course and what does it cover?

The course runs from 09:00 to 16:00 and can be adjusted around your school timetable. It covers all four UCAT sections, Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Reasoning and the Situational Judgement Test, with the latest 2026 updates.

Pupils learn timing techniques, decision-making frameworks and question analysis used by top scorers, and leave with strategy notes and a post-course revision plan.

How much does a school course cost and how is it priced?

School courses are priced per cohort in tiers based on how many students attend, not per pupil, so larger groups get better value. The exact cost depends on your group size, your dates and whether the day is in person or online. We provide a clear, tailored quote when you enquire.

Purchase order, invoicing and safeguarding information are all available on request to make booking straightforward for your finance and safeguarding teams.

How does your course compare with The Medic Portal, Medify or Kaplan?

The biggest difference is who teaches it. Our one-day course is delivered live by an experienced doctor, such as Dr Akash Gandhi or Dr Jonathan, rather than through pre-recorded videos, a question bank or student tutors.

Students get real-time explanations, personalised feedback and question-by-question analysis, and the day is tailored to your cohort. Many of the schools and families who come to us have used the larger online providers first and switched for this live, doctor-led approach.

How many students can attend, and who is it suitable for?

The course is designed for whole cohorts of medicine, dentistry and veterinary applicants, whether that is a small group or a full year group. It suits complete beginners as well as students refining their technique or resitting.

Because the day is tailored to your applicants, we can adapt the pace and emphasis to match where your students are in their preparation.

What do students need on the day?

For an in-person course, pupils simply need pens, paper and a calculator of the type used in the UCAT; we bring everything else. For an online course they will need a computer with a working microphone and camera, plus the same stationery.

All strategy guides and practice materials are provided digitally so every student keeps them for revision afterwards.

When is the best time to book?

UCAT courses are best run between January and June each year, ahead of the summer test window. This gives your pupils time to absorb the strategies and build speed through practice before they sit the exam.

Popular in-person dates fill up quickly, so get in touch as soon as you know your applicant numbers and we will hold a date that fits your calendar. The course can be delivered in person at your school or live online, whichever suits you best.

Can individual students join instead of a whole school?

Yes. If you are a parent or student rather than a school, our one-day online UCAT course and our 1-to-1 UCAT tutoring are the right options, taught by the same doctors.

You can book the online course on our UCAT Courses page, or arrange ongoing support through UCAT tutoring.

Harry got my UCAT up to 2,590, working through the sections I kept dropping marks on week by week. Gemma then ran my interview practice so the MMI stations didn't catch me out, and Dr Akash mentored me the whole way through. I'm off to King's for Medicine.

The interview prep was the part that actually moved the needle. Proper mock MMIs, not just lists of questions, and feedback that was honest about what I was getting wrong. I ended up with four offers and firmed UCL.

The Ultimate Package kept me organised from UCAT through to interviews. They knew what dental schools actually ask and tightened up my personal statement. Four offers in the end, and I'm going to Birmingham.

Vet applications come down to the written SAQs as much as the interview. Dr Rebecca went through my SAQs line by line, sharpened my answers and prepped me for the panels. I came away with four offers and chose the RVC.
